Hello Fellow Adventurers!
Tales From Netherün is officially open to submissions!
If you love to write speculative fiction and want to contribute to the world of Netherün we’d love for you to join us.
Netherün has and always will be a world of collaboration, that was our vision when we started and we’re excited to be in a place to welcome other writers to the fold.
If you’re interested, get in touch with us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know! We’ll have a short chat and if you’re still interested, we’ll send you a PDF with all the info you need to know to get started on your story.
Stories must be between 3000-7000 words and if you want to work with a character or organization already established in the world by another author – you will need to speak with that author (we will arrange this), give them an idea of what you want to do with the character and get their permission.
Creating your own unique characters and adding to the world of Netherün is highly encouraged!
Though your story can’t ‘break’ any story that has come before, we understand that this may be a daunting task with so many stories already out in the world so never fear! We are here to help. The first part of writing your story is submitting a synopsis to us so we can make sure it doesn’t go against anything already pre-established before you put in the writing time. After that, someone on the Q&R team will read your first draft as a second double check (we’re very friendly, we promise) and then you’re good to go into your editing. We also have a few resources available that can help with this that we will share with you.
Because we’re a free e-zine, we unfortunately can’t offer compensation for your stories but you will have an author interview in the zine (if you wish) and shout outs on social media leading up to the publication of your story.
We’re happy for repeat authors if you find yourself enjoying the experience and wishing to collaborate again!
So — just to re-iterate, shoot as an email with your interest to: email@example.com to get the conversation started.
